From observation to ritual.
Nothing at Mirellis begins as a product. Everything begins as something we noticed.
-
01
Observation
We record what actually happens at a transition — in our own testing, in the research, in what people tell us. Only what was observed. No interpretation yet.
-
02
Finding
When the same thing appears again and again, it becomes a Finding — a pattern we can state plainly and stand behind.
-
03
Mechanism
We ask why it might happen, drawing on both traditional systems and modern science. We hold this as a careful explanation, never a certainty.
-
04
Intervention
We ask the real question: given what we now understand, what would help most here? This produces a set of possibilities — not products. Light, scent, sound, temperature, movement, timing, attention.
-
05
Delivery
Only now do we ask what form the answer should take. An oil. A sound. An environment. A ritual. Sometimes the honest answer is: nothing we can build yet.
-
06
Ritual
The strongest interventions become instruments you can actually use — and using them daily, at the same moment, is what teaches the body the transition.
-
07
Outcome, and back again
What people notice becomes the next observation. The loop closes and begins again.
There may be ten intervention opportunities for a transition. Only one becomes a product. The other nine are not failures — they are the pipeline. Products that don't yet exist are the point.
Every stage produces two things: a piece of knowledge that stays with the institution forever, and a decision about whether to continue. Even when a project is stopped, the knowledge is kept. Nothing is lost because a product was set aside.
