Field of study
Human State Transitions
Sleep to waking. Work to recovery. Stimulation to restoration. Mirellis studies the moments the body moves between states — and the signals that make those moments easier.
What We Study
Rather than studying wellbeing as a whole, Mirellis focuses on three transitions where modern life most consistently interrupts the movement between human states.
SleepWakefulness
The first thirty minutes after waking appear to shape far more than the next thirty minutes. The way the nervous system enters the day often influences everything that follows.
WorkRecovery
Leaving work physically is not always the same as leaving it mentally. Recovery begins when attention is finally able to let go.
StimulationRestoration
Modern life rarely announces that the day has ended. Restoration begins when the nervous system receives a clear signal that one chapter is complete.
How we study them
Observation Before Intervention
Mirellis was built as a learning system rather than a product catalogue. Every ritual tool begins as an observation. Every observation is interpreted into a finding. Every finding is tested through daily ritual — and returns to the Observatory as new understanding.
-
01
Human Experience
People describe where the movement between states feels disrupted.
-
02
Observation
Experiences are collected through the Observatory and studied as recurring patterns.
-
03
Interpretation
Recurring observations are interpreted into research findings that explain the underlying transition.
-
04
Ritual Tool
Findings inform the design of ritual tools that deliver coherent sensory signals at that boundary.
-
05
Daily Practice
The ritual is repeated within everyday life, allowing the nervous system to learn through consistency.
-
06
Outcome
Changes are observed over time to understand what improved, what remained difficult, and what emerged.
-
07
New Understanding
Every outcome returns to the Observatory, where it becomes part of the next generation of observations and findings.
— and the cycle begins again
